The Church
The Sanctuary is a new church in the UK. It’s not that we believe anything different to what Christians have always taught about having faith in Jesus Christ, but the way we do things might be a bit different to what you are used to.
You could describe the Sanctuary as a non-denominational emerging missional church in the evangelical / pentecostal / charismatic tradition. But really, we’re followers of Jesus Christ, helping each other make sense of life in the 21st Century.
The Sanctuary is in the process of shifting from a church based in one building into a multi-site network of congregations. We see it as being one church in what will, in time, be many different locations. Initially, these will mainly be within 45 minutes drive (or so) from Guildford, but we hope that will just be the beginning!
We are building (and releasing) a team as we go, so we’re not going to try and show you a detailed chart of all the leaders of our many (?!) departments. An adventure, which began in early 2010 with two people dreaming with God and gathering friends, is starting to gain momentum. Come and join us for the journey!
